LETTER: Eastfield Ming Quong
Dear PASH hypnotherapists:
Thank you for the recent visit made to our group. The individual attention you were able to give to each of our staff enabled them to relax while learning special techniques in which to handle stressful situations which occur in everyday life and while on the job.
It has been very helpful to have tools in which our staff could use to help themselves get through those tough times. Again, we thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Staff

LETTER: Hope House
This letter is one of reference for the participants of the Palo Alto School of Hypnotherapy Field Trip program. Hope House has had the pleasure of receiving their services on a few occassions.
The students are so in tune with our chemically dependant population, very sensitive and experienced in their work. I had excellent feedback from our clients and they continue to ask for them to return for more hypnotherapy.
The students seem to be very dedicated, loving, and helpful to our particular population and I highly recommend them for any endeavor they may be seeking.
Sincerely,

LETTER: Catholic Charities
Dear PASH Director,
I am writing to give you some feed back about the incredible Hypnotherapy session you and your 12 students conducted here at the Peter Claver Community this past Saturday, June 28, 1997.
The Peter Claver Community is a permanent residential program for homeless persons suffering from AIDS, mental illness, many who are in recovery from substance abuse. These factors contribute to a very unpredictable and at times extremely intense environment.
The visit you and your students made was very well planned and I feel that you were extremely sensitive to the culture here. The individual needs and differences of the residents were met with incredible receptivity and compassion. The response of the resident afterwards was very positive and many are excited about your return and continuing on with self hypnosis.
Lastly, I want to recap some of the issues you encountered and how well they were dealt with. Ian has a sleep disorder and after the session reported that he has never been so relaxed without drugs. Bob, a stroke patient, was thrilled to be able to lift a previously immobilized leg. Steban, generally cold and emotionless client, worked through some issues of self worth and was able to cry. Keri, who recently gave up her addiction to methadone is now on her way to giving up cigarettes. James, Carlos, Paula and Coby all were working with pain and all reported immediate relief.
These are some of our most difficult clients and it was truly a miracle that so many showed up and actually benefited from following through with the individual sessions. I want to thank you again and hope that this is the beginning of a long relationship between The Palo Alto School of Hypnotherapy and The Peter Claver Community.

LETTER: AIDS Community Research Consortium
The staff at the ACRC sincerely thanks you for providing a wonderful service to our patients. We conduct clinical trials specifically for HIV and AIDS and confront a wide variety of issues with our patients. Recently, you have been instrumental in providing a patient the support to deal with a very difficult issue.
After being recently HIV diagnosed, a male patient contacted us to discuss treatment options. He stated he has a severe phlebotomy phobia and was reluctant to commit to a schedule of monthly blood draws. We discussed hypnotherapy with him and he expressed an interest.
He has been enrolled in a clinical trial for a month now and has had three blood draws with the help of hypnotherapy. Although he had taken a prescribed medication for anxiety prior to his appointment, he was visibly nervous. After a thirty minute session of hypnotherapy, he was able to tolerate the phlebotomy without incident.
He has now expressed an interest to learn and practice relaxation techniques on his own so he can overcome his fear of needles.
Once again, thank you for your dedication and support.
Sincerely

LETTER: Women’s Recovery Association
To the wonderful hypnotherapists at PASH,
With deep appreciation we wish to thank you for the professional hypnotherapy sessions you and your students have provided to our clients at WRA. From the beginning of the implementation of the school’s Field Program at our agency, the remarkable results of utilizing hypnotherapy with clients seeking recovery from chemical dependence has been a huge success.
In particular, the 3 graduate students who have volunteered their time on a weekly basis to lead both individual and group sessions have all been well received by staff and clients. Their professional, compassionate, and skilled hypnotherapy interventions have allowed clients to pursue dental or medical care put off for many years due to fear of pain or medication. And most appreciated has been the focus of the sessions on increasing self-esteem and managing stress so that gains made in recovery are reinforced.
Especially, we were delighted to host a field trip for your Medical Hypnotherapy classes. Staff and volunteering clients were receptive to the students and talk frequently about the positive outcomes of their sessions.
Your contribution to our clients and the agency is invaluable. Thank you for sharing your expertise with us.
