Dorthy V. Tyo

Director

In 1975, Dorthy Co-founded Options Unlimited, a firm that offers private consultation, workshops and seminars designed to help people manage their lives more effectively. She is the creator of Metaphor Intervention, which utilizes the client's own metaphor and symbolism for healing both physically and emotionally.

In 1989 she joined the staff of PASOH as an instructor. Her innovative ways of teaching soon resulted in becoming the Director of Metaphor Intervention. Today she holds the title of Director of PASH. Memberships include: Lifetime member of the American Association of Professional Hypnotherapist.

Dorthy weaves her knowledge of dream work, mythology, symbolism, and metaphor into fascinating class presentations. Topics she will help you explore include:

Corrine Chen

Chinese Division

Corrine Chen is now scheduling full hypnotherapy certification classes in Chinese. These courses use the Chinese language exclusively, and will focus on hypnotherapy techniques for practitioners and certification for new hypnotherapists.

Pat Sullivan

CHT, Administrative Coordinator

Pat oversees enrollment and the student finance department. Pat organizes many activities from scheduling appointments and maintaining to supervising our volunteer program, and assists students with course assignments and special studies.

Katin Imes

Director of Technology
Hypnotherapy Instructor, Portland, Oregon Campus
Katin manages the technical side of the distance learning and online referral programs as well as serves as an instructor for many of the classes at the Portland, Oregon campus of PASOH.

Having spent 15 years as a software engineer and 4 years as a practicing hypnotherapist, Katin has the ability to bridge high-tech minds and lifestyles into the high-touch world of hypnosis, NLP, team communications, and trust management. Katin also has three years of somatic training, which he integrates into his classe. He utilizes a high-awareness of states and body energies.

Jennifer Wolfe

CCHT, CMHT, CD, Childbirth Hypnosis
Jennifer graduated from the Palo Alto School of Hypnotherapy in1996. She is a DONA-certified doula, clinical and medical hypnotherapist, yoga instructor, childbirth educator, and Reiki master.

Jennifer founded the Dolphin Yoga and Doula Center in 2002 to help birthing women and their partners have better birth experiences by providing knowledge, tools and a comforting environment for prenatal health and childbirth. As a hypnotherapist for the past eight years, Jennifer has pioneered Childbirth Hypnosis, a unique methodology she developed for gentle birthing and anxiety reduction. Jennifer utilizes Childbirth Hypnosis and yoga in her doula practice to achieve deep mind and body relaxation. She has prepared hundreds of pregnant women for childbirth and provided doula support at Mills Peninsula, Sequoia, Kaiser, Stanford, El Camino, Good Samaritan, Valley Care Medical Center, Pleasanton Birth Home, and California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) hospitals.

Dr. John Parke

Psy.D. Clinical Psychology
Dr. Parke brings more than 18 years of experience in Ericksonian hypnosis to the Palo Alto School of Hypnotherapy. He specializes in the treatment of Post Traumatic Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, Dissociative disorders, Phobias, and Chronic Pain.

He began his practice in Massachusetts, where he provided hypnotherapy for artists and other clients interested in using creativity to solve problems. He provided hypnosis for the inpatient detoxification program at Somerville Community Hospital and conducted hypnosis research at McLean Hospital in Belmont, one of the oldest and foremost research and psychiatric hospitals in the U.S.

Dr. Parke provides psychological consultation for the Pain Management Clinic at Stanford University, and is currently a psychologist on staff at the Native American Health Center in Oakland, CA. He holds a bachelor's degree in fine art, a master's degree in counseling psychology and a doctorate in clinical psychology. He holds a diplomate in pain management from the American Academy of Pain Management and is a licensed psychologist in the State of California.

Simone

CHT, Intuitive Consultant

Simone has taken the diverse experiences of her life and woven them together in a tapestry for for healing. Simone sees herself as a catalyst offering a refined blend of artistry and pragmatism. She helps people rekindle their inner light and strengthen the ability to respond creatively to life.

Simone presents classes on how intuition can be applied to increase joyful well-being on all levels. Students learn to open easily to their intuition/Higher Self. Voice, primitive instruments, and meditation transport us to the world of altered states where all healing is possible. You will learn to

Walter Bugna

CHT, Medical Hypnotherapist, Reiki Practitioner, San Jose Fire Department Captain

Walter brings his years of experience in dealing with life-threatening situations and high anxiety to his stress management classes. He is a member of the San Jose Fire Department's Critical Incident Stress Management Team and teaches Medic First Aid. Walter combines several stress reduction techniques into his successful class. A few topics you will cover and practice are:

Terry Attwood

CHT, Reiki Master

Terry began her healing practice in 1970. Terry is adept at the art of guided visualization. She teaches classes in guided visualization, meditation, and healing designed for application in both your hypnotherapy practice and personal life. Terry also conducts ongoing classes in Reiki. She is the co-author of Reiki-Frequency of Love.

The Opening the Heart to Healing class is intended to help you walk upon the earth with strength, appreciation, and grace. The course will focus on

Dusty Lynn White

CHT, Hypnoanesthesiologist, Director of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)

Dusty is the founder and Director of Counting Down, a practice in therapeutic techniques and metaphysical healing. Dusty, who worked as a senior manager at a high-tech Silicon Valley company for many years, has skillfully combined her knowledge of corporate stress and anxiety into her successful programs that are easy to understand and apply.

In presenting an introduction to NLP, Dusty emphasizes techniques that are beneficial to the beginning practicing Hypnotherapist, including
