Medical Hypnosis

(6 week & 2 Saturday, full day workshops- 40-hour certification course)

Course is approved by the National Board of Hypnoanesthesiology.

This course is offered to advanced students who have completed a minimum of 100 hours of hypnotherapy training.Class meet weekly for 6 weeks and 2 Saturday workshops. It is designed to give students experience with volunteers who have chronic pain and other health-related conditions. The School schedules a field trip to an agency or health center to provide students further professional experience. Through lectures, demonstrations, and videotapes, students will gain expertise in:

• Immediate and emergency care
• Pain control techniques
• Surgical anesthesia
• Cancer (therapeutic imagery for eliminating/reducing pain)
• Chemotherapy (managing side effects)
• Arthritis (controlling joint pain and increasing mobility)
• Headaches (current research and studies)
• Children and pain
• Dentistry (Hypnodontics)
• Natural childbirth (natural anesthesia for labor pains)
• Sport injuries (for professional athletes and weekend warriors)
• Mind-Body-Spirit connection for healing
