There just isn’t room to adequately praise the competence of training available at Palo Alto School of Hypnotherapy. Dorthy V. Tyo presents the material in a kind and conversational manner that is based on sound science, and is straight-to-the-point and complete. Answering all questions in depth, Dorthy and every guest speaker, demonstrated again not only depth of knowledge in the field, but an eagerness to educate and support. It’s no surprise that in researching my choice of schools, the term “venerable” cropped up often in reference to PASOH.
After a 40-year executive career in the Automotive Second Tier, I chose hypnotherapy as a “change of pace” - a hobby for retirement. I am not a workaholic, but I am also not a person who can just “retire”. I concluded to “retool”.
I’m an automotive guy – I research things. During training, I looked at various niche markets, and did a couple of mail/reply studies to determine the possible scope of a hypnotherapy practice. I conducted a few sessions even prior to graduation to verify the study conclusion. The result: The niche I selected is underserved. Immediately after graduation from PASOH, an initial “rush” of clients occasioned by the studies, then produced a steady flow of references – 13-15 per week.
Now that’s a bit more than a “hobby”, but the opportunity to help people resolve issues is such a refreshing change from my former occupation, I could not be more pleased.
Thank you again PASOH!
